Zeno Health's 'Skip the Ad' Uses Dad Jokes to Deliver Relatable Healthcare Messages

Zeno Health, a pharmacy chain with both online and in-store services, has rolled out a clever new digital campaign called “Skip the Ad.”

Created by Folklore Co, this campaign uses humor to make healthcare messaging fun and memorable. It features eight short video clips, totaling just 86 seconds, that turn cheesy dad jokes into meaningful brand messages.

Actors Brijendra Kala, playing a lovable dad, and Srishti Shrivastava, as his down-to-earth daughter, bring the warmth of typical Indian family chats to life.

Each ad starts with a classic dad joke, tempting viewers to hit the “skip” button. But in just 2.5 seconds, Zeno slips in its key points: genuine medicines, savings of up to 60%, fast delivery, 98% product availability, and the trust of over 3 million families.

Unlike traditional healthcare ads that can feel scary or dull, this campaign aims to make people smile. “Most healthcare ads either scare you or bore you. We wanted to make you smile while telling you something important,” said Pinkesh Dhimar, Zeno Health’s Director of Communications and Brand.

The short films are crafted for today’s fast-paced digital world, each telling a complete story without feeling like a chopped-up version of a longer ad. The parent-child dynamic—where the dad represents the user and the daughter the buyer—makes the ads relatable and heartfelt without being pushy. “A series of dad jokes felt like the simplest and most playful way to bring that idea alive,” said Ujjwal Kabra, Writer and Film Director at Folklore Co, alongside Founder and Producer Bhupender Agarwal.
