PSG Thrashes Real Madrid 4-0 to Reach FIFA Club World Cup Final
Paris Saint-Germain delivered a masterclass performance, demolishing Real Madrid 4-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semi-final at MetLife Stadium, securing a spot in the final against Chelsea.
The European champions, led by Luis Enrique, showcased their dominance with a ruthless display that left the Spanish giants reeling.
The game kicked off with PSG hitting the ground running. Just six minutes in, Fabian Ruiz found the net after Ousmane Dembele pounced on a sloppy mistake by Raul Asencio, slipping the ball into an empty goal.
Barely three minutes later, Dembele was at it again, taking advantage of Antonio Rudiger’s fumble to coolly score. In the 24th minute, Ruiz bagged his second, finishing off a lightning-fast counter-attack sparked by Achraf Hakimi’s spot-on cross.
By halftime, PSG was up 3-0, leaving Real Madrid dazed.

After the break, PSG kept their foot on the gas, while Real Madrid struggled to find their footing. Late in the game, substitute Goncalo Ramos sealed the deal with a gorgeous goal in the 87th minute, dedicating it to the late Diogo Jota. PSG owned the ball with 68% possession, fired 17 shots (7 on target), and racked up an expected goals (xG) of 2.52, dwarfing Madrid’s 0.71.
Real Madrid, missing their star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold due to injury, looked lost. Even Kylian Mbappe, playing against his old club, couldn’t make an impact, with PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma swatting away his best effort. The match was also a bittersweet farewell for Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, who, at 39, is heading to AC Milan.
