Tom Holland Drops First Glimpse of Spider-Man: Brand New Day as Filming Kicks Off

Tom Holland gave fans a sneak peek at the next Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) adventure, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with two set photos posted on Instagram on August 3, 2025. The pics show Holland rocking a new Spider-Man suit, standing on an armored vehicle while hooked up to a stunt wire.

Brand New Day picks up after the heart-wrenching ending of No Way Home (2021), where Peter Parker (Holland) made everyone forget he’s Spider-Man. The film takes cues from the comic storyline where Peter makes a deal with Mephisto to erase his identity and save Aunt May, shaking up his world. While the plot’s still a mystery, expect a grounded, street-level story with Peter tackling fresh challenges.

The cast is stacked, with Zendaya back as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and new faces like Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Sadie Sink in a secret role (maybe Jean Grey?), and Liza Colón-Zayas. There’s even talk of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk showing up.
