Spider-Man 4 Unveiled as "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" at CinemaCon
Spider-Man: Brand New Day stands as the official title for the upcoming fourth installment of the Tom Holland franchise. The announcement took place at Sony Pictures' CinemaCon 2025 event in Las Vegas, which created enjoyment among theater owners and attendees. The upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film will arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026 under the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton who also directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Despite his filming responsibilities on The Odyssey with Christopher Nolan, Tom Holland sent a prerecorded video address to the ceremony. “I am so sorry I can’t be with you. I am halfway around the world shooting a movie,” Holland said, acknowledging the cliffhanger left by Spider-Man: No Way Home. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that.” His words suggest Peter Parker will start a fresh journey after Spider-Man: No Way Home ends with the world forgetting his identity.
Cretton addressed the audience to express that his team stands ready for summer production of their upcoming project. The director highlighted how the new project will deliver an emotional, action-based, distinctive Spider-Man story that features top-tier talent. The film's title, Brand New Day, draws directly from the groundbreaking reboot storyline in which Peter undergoes a life-altering reset following the multiverse consequences of No Way Home.
The upcoming movie features both established actors and new rising talent. The upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie will have Zendaya reprise her MJ role and Jacob Batalon return as Ned alongside Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink, who brings new dimensions to the plot. The film Spider-Man: Brand New Day will take place between Avengers: Doomsday (May 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars by showing Peter as he battles to rediscover himself in an unfamiliar universe.
