Rajinikanth’s Coolie Breaks Rs 50 Crore in Advance Bookings

Superstar Rajinikanth’s newest movie, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is generating a lot of buzz with advance bookings touching ₹50 crore worldwide.

With the much anticipated action packed gangster film all set to release Aug 14, 2025, fans are already terming it as a historic moment in Tamil cinema.

Coolie has sold over 100,000 tickets in Kerala and made over 1 crore and been snapped up at the rate of 50,000 tickets an hour by online sites like BookMyShow, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The enthusiasm does not stop at India, with foreign markets contributing almost 30 crore in the pre-booking show, with the U.S. itself covering more than 550,000 dollars across 974 shows at 181 destinations.

The overwhelming demand was experienced in Dallas, Texas, where fans hired 3 auditoriums with 600 seats within minutes, and it is an indication of the global star Rajinikanth has become.
