Polycab Christmas TVC Positions Safety as the Greatest Gift

Polycab India Limited has released a Christmas television commercial that places electrical safety at the centre of festive celebrations.

The film promotes the company’s Green Wires+ range and uses the holiday setting to highlight a practical concern often overlooked during the season—safe and reliable home wiring.

Set inside a festively decorated home, the TVC opens with Christmas lights flickering intermittently, subtly signalling an underlying electrical issue. Santa Claus, noticing the irregularity, pauses to investigate rather than continuing his usual gift-giving routine.

Through a visual device that allows him to look behind the walls, the film reveals the condition of the home’s internal wiring, drawing attention to the risks associated with poor-quality electrical installations.

  • Polycab’s Christmas TVC highlights electrical safety as the real festive gift
  • Green Wires+ campaign links festive lighting to safe home wiring awareness
  • Polycab uses Santa-led storytelling to spotlight year-round electrical safety

The narrative avoids dramatization and instead focuses on everyday realism, linking common festive practices—decorative lighting, additional appliances, and higher power usage—to the need for dependable wiring. Santa’s response is decisive: he places a box of Polycab Green Wires beneath the Christmas tree, reframing safety as a meaningful and responsible gift rather than an abstract concept.

The film is anchored by the line, “Safety Hai Sabse Bada Gift… Usse Samjhauta? No Chance,” reinforcing the brand’s stance that safety should not be compromised, even temporarily, for celebration or convenience. The message aligns with increased electrical load during festive periods, when households are more vulnerable to short circuits and fire hazards.

Polycab’s Green Wires+ are positioned as a solution designed for residential safety, manufactured using high-purity copper and engineered to reduce smoke and toxic emissions during electrical faults. The product emphasis remains factual, focusing on durability, heat resistance, and compliance with safety standards rather than emotional appeal.
