Philips India has appointed actor and model Rasha Thadani as the brand ambassador for its hair styling range, strengthening its focus on younger consumers and India-specific grooming needs.

The association marks the rollout of the brand’s new digital campaign, Designed for Indian Hair, which highlights the challenges faced by Indian consumers due to climate, water quality and hair texture.

The campaign film introduces the concept of an Indian Hair Court, where common hair stressors such as humidity, heat, pollution and hard water are put on trial for causing damage and styling difficulties.

Through this setting, Philips reinforces its message that hair styling solutions in India must deliver results while protecting hair health, rather than relying on one-size-fits-all products.

In the film, Rasha Thadani appears as a Philips Hair Expert, presenting the brand’s core styling products, including the Hair Straightening Brush, Hydrating Hair Dryer, One Stroke Straightener and the 2-in-1 Airstyler. The campaign positions these products as solutions designed after studying Indian hair types and usage conditions, with an emphasis on controlled heat and consistent performance.

According to Philips India, the partnership reflects the company’s intent to build relevance among Gen Z consumers and young millennial consumers who seek products that are practical, easy to use and suited to everyday routines. The brand stated that Indian consumers often face styling issues linked to weather and lifestyle, making locally designed solutions essential.

Smit Shukla, Country Head – Philips Personal Health, said, “Hair styling in India is influenced by unique climate and hair types. Our campaign brings this philosophy to life, and Rasha introduces a fresh, contemporary voice that connects with today’s consumers.”

Rasha Thadani said the collaboration aligns with her preference for products that combine styling efficiency with care, adding that Philips’ approach to hair health stood out to her.
