Mondelez launches Biscoff in India with Lotus Bakeries Pact
Mondelez International has introduced Biscoff cookies in India through a partnership with Belgium-based Lotus Bakeries.
This marks the first time the brand will undergo local manufacturing outside Europe, with Mondelez handling production, marketing and distribution across the country.
The launch strengthens Mondelez’s presence in the premium biscuits category, adding Biscoff to its snacking lineup alongside Cadbury and Oreo.
The company says the move supports its broader Make in India strategy and enhances its ability to serve local consumers with globally recognised products.
For Lotus Bakeries, introducing Biscoff in India is a key element of its long-term expansion plan. The brand aims to scale globally, and the Indian market—with its rising demand for premium biscuits—is positioned as an important growth region.
