Jungkook's "Seven" Sets Record as Longest-Charting Asian Solo
Jungkook of BTS has done it again. His 2023 hit “Seven,” featuring Latto, has just become the longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist in Billboard history.
According to the latest Billboard charts (October 25), “Seven” is still holding strong at No. 146 on the Global 200 after 117 straight weeks.
On the Global (Excluding U.S.) chart, it sits at No. 90, marking 118 weeks in total. No other Asian solo act has stayed on these charts this long.
The song first dropped in July 2023 and immediately made waves. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global (Excl. U.S.) charts — a rare triple crown.
It stayed at the top of both global charts for seven weeks straight, the longest run ever for an Asian artist. In the U.S., it charted for 15 weeks. In the UK, it peaked at No. 3 and earned platinum status.
