Jailer 2 Hindi Release Date: What Did the Makers Say?

The statement came in the wake of the reports stating that Jailer 2 would not be released at Big Biplexes in Hindi, even after it was dubbed. This came in the news as the reports suggested Jailer 2 will not be released in the Hindi dubbed version at the major multiplexes such as PVR INOX or Cinepolis.

In its official press release, Team Idhyah has confirmed that the Hindi release will be on Thursday, October 15, 2026, as previously announced.

In view of the recent media reports that Jailer 2 will not be released in Hindi, here is an official clarification: The Hindi version of the film is to be released in theatres on Thursday, 15th October 2026 as planned with its other language versions.

The announcement comes with doubts about the Hindi release of the movie and the fact that the makers haven't announced any changes to the film's scheduled date.

Why Were There Questions About Jailer 2’s Hindi Release?

Earlier reports suggested that the Hindi version of Jailer 2 might not be screened across major multiplex chains because of a reported disagreement over the film’s digital release window.

According to an earlier report by The Indian Express, the makers had opted for a four-week gap between the theatrical and OTT releases across language versions. The report said the film could begin streaming in November, approximately four weeks after its cinema debut.

This reportedly raised concerns because major Hindi multiplex chains generally seek an eight-week window between a film’s theatrical release and its digital premiere.

However, the makers’ subsequent clarification confirmed that the Hindi version would release in theatres on October 15 as scheduled.
