India Ends Cannes Lions 2025 with 32 Metals, Best Since 2022

India's run at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity came to an end with BBDO's Silver award for Ariel in the Sustainable Development Goals category, bringing the total number of Lions won by the country to 32, including one Grand Prix. This is a significant increase over the 18 metals India won last year.

On the fifth day of the festival, the Omnicom-owned advertising agency won the Silver for its decade-long Share The Load campaign, which encourages men and women to share household chores equally.

On the final day, no Indian agencies won in the Film, Titanium, Glass (The Lion for Change), or Grand Prix for Good categories.

India achieved remarkable success at Cannes Lions 2025 with a total of 32 awards. FCB India led the tally with 9 metals, including a Grand Prix, 6 Golds, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze. Ogilvy followed with 7 awards, securing 1 Gold and 6 Silvers. Leo Burnett, Havas, and Talented each garnered 3 metals, with a mix of Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Other agencies like BBDO, VML, FCB Kinnect, Godrej Creative Lab, Lowe Lintas, BBH, and Dentsu Creative each won one metal, showcasing India's creative excellence across multiple categories.

FCB led India's performance, winning nine Lions, including a Grand Prix in the PR category. All of its awards were for Lucky Yatra, an Indian Railways campaign that promotes the purchase of train tickets. Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, and Havas all won Gold Lions.

This year's performance is India's best since 2022, when it won 47 medals.
