Google rolled out a fresh batch of AI-powered tools for marketers at its Google Marketing Live India event, aiming to make advertising smarter and more effective.

These new features, spanning Google Search, YouTube, Product Studio, and Google Ads, are designed to help businesses connect with customers in today’s fast-moving, multi-platform world.

One big reveal was the upcoming launch of ads in AI Overviews, set to hit India later this year. These ads will pop up in Google’s AI-generated search summaries, giving brands a new way to catch attention as more people turn to AI for quick answers.

Roma Datta Chobey, Google India’s Managing Director for Digital First Businesses, said, “As consumer journeys become increasingly complex, our AI-powered tools are aimed at supporting marketers across creative production, precision targeting, and performance measurement.”

Google also introduced AI Max for Search in India, a tool that fine-tunes Search campaigns by using details like a brand’s website and keywords to show ads at just the right moment. Another feature, Smart Bidding Exploration, helps businesses spot new opportunities for reaching customers, even in unexpected areas, to boost conversions.

With 80% of India’s Gen Z using Google Search for shopping, research, and discovery, the company is doubling down on making ads more engaging. YouTube is stepping up too, with shoppable ads on connected TVs and mobile mastheads rolling out to tap into India’s growing digital ad scene.

The timing is notable, as India recently scrapped the “Google tax,” making it easier for companies like Google to expand their ad offerings here. These tools, first launched in the U.S., are now tailored for India, helping businesses automate tasks, create better ads, and understand their performance. As AI continues to shake up marketing, Google’s latest moves are set to give Indian marketers a serious edge in a competitive digital world.
