Dying Light: The Beast Launches Early on September 18

Techland, the Poland-based game developer, just announced that Dying Light: The Beast, the standalone survival horror game, is coming out a day earlier than expected. Originally set for September 19, the game will now launch on September 18, 2025.

Over one million players have already pre-ordered, and Techland wants to get the game into their hands ASAP, according to their website.

Set in the eerie new region of Castor Woods, Dying Light: The Beast brings back fan-favorite protagonist Kyle Crane from Dying Light 2: Stay Human. After escaping a decade of experiments by a shadowy figure called the Baron, Crane’s got a new challenge: he’s carrying both human and zombie DNA. 

To get his revenge, he’ll need to master the beast inside while navigating a thrilling open-world filled with danger and action.

The game will be available on PS5 Pro, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. If you already own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human, you’re in luck—you’ll get The Beast for free, making it a sweet deal for dedicated fans.

Pre-ordering the Standard Edition comes with the Hero of Harran Bundle, packed with cool extras like the Ultimate Survivor Outfit, a Harran Combat Knife (with an upgradable blueprint), The Follower Crossbow (also upgradable), In Jade’s Memory Pistol (with an upgradable blueprint), and the Castor Woods Patrol. These goodies give players a head start with unique gear and weapons.
