Legendary Hindi film actor Dharmendra passed away on 24 November 2025 at the age of 89. He had been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month after treatment for age-related health complications. His condition reportedly deteriorated again, leading to his death at home.

The actor’s funeral was held in Mumbai, where film industry veterans, colleagues, and family members gathered to pay their respects. Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and several other prominent names were present for the last rites.

Many recalled Dharmendra’s contribution to shaping mainstream Hindi cinema and remembered him as an accessible and warm colleague.

Dharmendra’s film career spanned over six decades, during which he acted in more than 300 films. Rising to stardom in the 1960s with films like Phool Aur Patthar, he soon became one of Bollywood’s most recognisable leading men.
