Billie Eilish Dominates 2025 American Music Awards with Seven Wins
The 2025 American Music Awards turned up the heat at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on May 26, with fans picking their faves in a lively show hosted by Jennifer Lopez. Billie Eilish was the night’s superstar, sweeping all seven categories she was up for, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year for her catchy “Birds of a Feather.”

Eilish’s album Hit Me Hard and Soft scored big, nabbing both Album of the Year and Favorite Pop Album. Even though it hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200, her fans clearly couldn’t get enough. Beyoncé and Eminem each snagged two awards: Beyoncé won Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for Cowboy Carter, while Eminem took home Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
The night had some super sweet moments too. Rod Stewart was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, handed to him by five of his eight kids, which totally warmed everyone’s hearts. At 59, Janet Jackson got the Icon Award and blew everyone away with her first live TV performance in seven years. Lopez got the party started with a six-minute dance mashup of 23 hits, including Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile,” which won Favorite Music Video and Collaboration of the Year.

Post Malone grabbed Favorite Male Country Artist, and Gracie Abrams was crowned New Artist of the Year. Kendrick Lamar, despite 10 nominations, didn’t clean up as some thought he might. Taylor Swift, up for six awards, didn’t show, leaving fans bummed about no Reputation news.
