Arsenal completed a commanding 3–1 win over Inter Milan at San Siro on Tuesday night to confirm top spot in their UEFA Champions League group stage and extend their unbeaten record in the competition this season.

Already qualified for the knockout stages, Arsenal showed little sign of easing off, delivering a disciplined and efficient performance in European football against an Inter side under pressure after recent European setbacks.

Mikel Arteta rotated his squad but retained a strong core, and the visitors controlled possession from the opening exchanges.

Gabriel Jesus gave Arsenal an early lead in the 10th minute, finishing calmly after a sharp passing move down the left.

Inter responded quickly, with Petar Sucic equalising eight minutes later after finding space at the edge of the area and striking low past the goalkeeper. The goal briefly lifted the home crowd and shifted momentum.

Arsenal, however, regained control before the break. A set-piece caused confusion in the Inter penalty area, and Jesus reacted fastest to score his second of the night, restoring the visitors’ advantage and underlining his growing influence since returning to full fitness.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Inter pressing higher but struggling to create clear chances. Arsenal remained organised, limiting space between the lines and managing the tempo effectively. As Inter committed more players forward, gaps began to appear.

Those gaps were exploited late on when Viktor Gyökeres sealed the result with a well-placed finish following a swift counter-attack, removing any remaining doubt about the outcome.

The defeat leaves Inter needing results elsewhere to secure progression, while Arsenal finish the group stage with maximum points and growing confidence. With consistency in Europe and squad depth improving, Arteta’s side head into the knockout phase positioned as one of the tournament’s most reliable performers.
