Apple's iPhone 17 Series Set to Launch in September 2025

Apple is set to unveil its iPhone 17 series at its big fall event on September 9, 2025, at Apple Park.

The lineup is expected to include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a rumored iPhone 17 Air, which might replace the Plus model with a slimmer, sleeker design. You can catch the keynote live on Apple’s YouTube channel, Apple.com, or Apple TV.

Apple’s sticking to its usual schedule. Invites for the event are likely dropping today, August 26, at 8 a.m., building hype for the 10 a.m. keynote on September 9. Pre-orders should kick off on September 12, with the official launch happening on September 19.

Apple Stores worldwide will open at 7 a.m. local time on release day, with folks in Australia and New Zealand getting first dibs. Expect early reviews to hit on September 16 at 6 a.m. Pacific Time, giving a sneak peek at what these new iPhones can do.

The iPhone 17 series is already stirring up excitement. The standard iPhone 17 might come with a 6.3-inch display and a smooth 120Hz ProMotion screen, making it feel more like the Pro models.

All models are expected to run on the powerful A19 chip, built on a 3nm process for better speed and battery life, though the base model could use an A18 chip. The iPhone 17 Pro Max might show off a new rectangular camera setup with a 48MP telephoto lens for 3.5x optical zoom and a 24MP selfie camera. The iPhone 17 Air, rumored to be super thin, could pack a 2,800mAh battery with advanced silicon-carbon tech.
