Divo Music, part of Warner Music India, just launched Loopd, a new label focused on supporting India’s independent artists.

With Warner Music Group’s global resources behind it, Loopd aims to help musicians share their unique voices with the world while keeping full creative control.

India’s music scene is booming, especially outside the usual Bollywood hits, thanks to streaming platforms and changing tastes.

Loopd is stepping in to boost this trend by promoting fresh, original music that doesn’t fit the mainstream mold.

Shahir Muneer, Divo’s Founder and Director, put it simply: “Loopd is built with artists at its heart. We want to empower independent musicians with resources, visibility, and global reach, while letting them stay true to their creativity. This is about building a movement, not just a label.”

Loopd hit the ground running with its first release, “Nizhal,” by Adhithya RK, which got a big shout-out from Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The label has more in store, with upcoming tracks like “Parota and Beef” by Tuhin, “Prema” by Junaid Kumar, “Hiraaya” by Samuel Paul, and “Peraasaye” by Pradeep Kumar.
