Warner Music Group is set to establish a new technology hub in Bengaluru next month, strengthening its global technology capabilities across engineering, data infrastructure and artificial intelligence. The move highlights Bengaluru’s growing importance as a technology and innovation centre for the global media and entertainment industry.
Warner Music Group Expands Technology Operations
The new Bengaluru centre will support Warner Music Group’s efforts to build technology solutions for the global music business, including data systems, AI applications and digital tools. The company sees India’s strong technology talent pool as an important advantage as it expands its engineering and innovation capabilities.
Mahesh Rao, Warner Music Group’s Director of Software Engineering and India site lead, said the company is looking for engineers and innovators who can contribute to the future of the global music industry.
Technology is already central to Warner Music Group’s operations, supporting areas such as artist sign-ups, music distribution data, relationships with digital streaming platforms and the use of AI and data-driven insights.
Recruitment Underway for Bengaluru Tech Hub
Warner Music Group has already begun hiring for its Bengaluru operations. Its current openings include software engineering, data platform, DevOps, infrastructure, business intelligence and product management roles. Positions listed include Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Data Warehouse and Integration Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer and Product Manager.
The company is also recruiting for specialised technology positions, including data platform and infrastructure roles. Several of the Bengaluru positions are structured as hybrid roles, requiring employees to work from the company’s Bangalore office for part of the week.
