Truecaller and LinkedIn Partner to Add Professional Context to Calls

The Truecaller and LinkedIn partnership will bring professional context to Caller ID, allowing users to display their job title and workplace alongside their name and profile picture when making calls.

Truecaller Integrates LinkedIn Professional Profiles

Under the integration, Truecaller users can connect their LinkedIn profiles to add professional information to their Caller ID. Users can display details including their workplace and job title alongside their name and profile picture.

New users can use Login with LinkedIn to set up their Truecaller accounts, with details such as their name and profile picture pre-filled from their LinkedIn profile. Existing and new users can also use Verified on LinkedIn to add their workplace and job title to their Truecaller profile.

Once connected, people receiving calls can see the caller’s job title and company alongside their name and picture. They can also access the caller’s LinkedIn profile to learn more about their professional background.

LinkedIn Verification Signals Come to Truecaller

The integration also brings LinkedIn verification signals to Truecaller. Where a caller has verified information on LinkedIn, the corresponding signals will appear alongside their name on Truecaller.

If a caller’s workplace has been verified on LinkedIn, Truecaller will display an indicator alongside the company information, providing additional professional context to the recipient.

Kunal Dua, Chief Product Officer at Truecaller said, "The partnership adds richer professional context to Caller ID and helps recipients get a clearer picture of who is calling."

Professional Information Display Remains Optional

The LinkedIn connection and display of professional information on Truecaller are optional. Users can decide whether to display their workplace and job title and can disconnect their LinkedIn profile at any time.

Oscar Rodriguez, VP of Trust Product at LinkedIn said, "The integration allows members to carry their verified credibility to partner platforms without undergoing separate verification processes."

Truecaller LinkedIn Integration Available on Android

The integration is now available for Truecaller Android users on the global platform and the iPhone version is set to be released soon.

The partnership adds professional identity and identity verification information to phone calls, enabling the user to add more context information than a phone number, without losing control of the information that they are willing to disclose.
