On Tuesday, the dynamism of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand was vibrant, they formed the first pair from India for the doubles event to enter into the top 10 of BWF World Rankings.

India's highest-ever ranked women's doubles pair, Treesa and Gayatri have moved up to a new ranking of world number 9. These two professional shuttlers have put behind Ponnappa and Gutta have ranked themselves among the ranks of the best Indians in the women's doubles category.

In 2015, she made her top-flight national entrance under number 10 and became the first woman to achieve that feat in doubles.

Just on the heels of their first title at the Syed Modi India International in December last year, the display from the Indian duo in the World Tour Finals was quite striking, resulting in a significant position of world number 11, their highest ever in their career.

Treesa and Gayatri did well in last year's Macau Open and Canada Open where they unfortunately missed the qualification for Paris Olympics. Their quarter-finals participation in the Malaysia Open held last week opened the doors of opportunity for these two players as they managed to penetrate into the top 10 in the world on the basis of crucial points earned.

PV Sindhu dropped two spots to be ranked World No. 16 in the women's singles rankings after missing the season-opening Malaysia Open last week due to her marriage.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty had shone on the ninth in the world rankings as they sit as India's top men's doubles combination. If they really had not been opposed in the semifinal of the Malaysia Open Super 1000 last week, they might have won.

On the other hand, Lakshya emerged as the top-ranked men's singles Indian player after he ended at World No.12 while HS Prannoy is placed at World number 26.

Indian badminton players have the opportunity to make happen and benefit the rankings on the Indian Open Super 750, starting today in Delhi.
