Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) has announced that T-Pain and GloRilla will be the top honorees at the 2025 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, set to take place on August 28 in Los Angeles.
The private event, hosted by BMI President/CEO Mike O’Neill, Executive Vice President/Chief Creative & Revenue Officer Mike Steinberg, and Vice President of Creative Catherine Brewton, will celebrate the duo’s significant contributions to music.
T-Pain will receive the prestigious BMI President’s Award, recognizing his influential career, while GloRilla will be presented with the BMI Impact Award for her rising influence in hip-hop.
T-Pain, the Grammy-winning hitmaker, is being honored with the BMI President’s Award for his legendary career. He is known for bangers like “Buy U a Drank” and “Bartender,” and he’s the guy who made auto-tune a vibe.

His creativity has inspired artists everywhere, putting him in the same league as past winners like Benny Blanco and Ludacris. “T-Pain’s unwavering commitment to pushing musical boundaries continues to inspire fans worldwide,” Brewton said. Plus, he’s not just about music—he’s running Nappy Boy Entertainment and diving into gaming and car projects.
Then there’s GloRilla, aka Gloria Hallelujah Woods, who’s snagging the BMI Impact Award for her meteoric rise. She took over in 2022 with “FNF (Let’s Go)” and kept the fire going with her debut album, GLORIOUS. Tracks like “Yeah Glo!” and her T-Pain collab “I LUV HER” have fans hooked, earning her two BMI Awards and Grammy nominations. “GloRilla’s bold energy is changing hip-hop,” Brewton said, comparing her to stars like Ice Spice and Tems.
