Tom Holland's Spider-Man Continues Its Box Office Run

Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker in the latest Marvel adventure. The movie is the fourth solo Spider-Man film starring Holland. Its success also continues a strong run for Marvel and Sony at theaters. The film had already crossed $1 billion worldwide in near-record time. It later passed $1 billion from international markets at another rapid pace.

The film's latest milestone puts it among an exclusive group of blockbusters. The current $2 billion club includes Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avengers: Infinity War and Ne Zha 2.

Brand New Day is also only the third movie released in the 2020s to reach $2 billion. Avatar: The Way of Water and Ne Zha 2 were the other two. With its theatrical run still continuing, the film could add significantly more to its total. Its strong performance has already turned 2026 into another major year for superhero movies.
