Welspun World unit Sintex BAPL announced that it will continue its association with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as an associate sponsor of the 2025 Women's Premier League (WPL), India's top women's T20 cricket tournament. This is the second straight year that Sintex will be sponsoring the WPL.

Sintex perceives its collaborative partnership with WPL to be a strategic fit. Sintex intends to extend this partnership toward fostering inclusivity in sports, the encouragement of female athletes, and the promotion of water sustainability. WPL 2025, targets a larger audience to promote women in sports, conserve water, and implement environmental sustainability.

Speaking of the association, Yashovardhan Agarwal, managing director, Welspun - BAPL said, “We are delighted to partner with Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 as an Associate Sponsor for 2025. Over the years, WPL has become a game-changer for women’s cricket in India, providing a well-deserved platform for women to lead the charge. At Sintex, we believe in undertaking initiatives that drive real change, and through this association, our aim is to inspire, break barriers and enable more young women to pursue their dreams in the field of sports.”

Welspun, the parent company of Sintex, started the Women Super Sport Programme (WSSW) to help and support women athletes who come from tough socio-economic realities. This would help in accessing and removing all the challenges through which an athlete could face along with limited resources, financial constraints, and societal barriers. Thus, one can be equipped with all relevant support to reach success.

For its stadium activations, Sintex is keeping things interactive by focusing on important areas such as cricket and water conservation. With “Kill the Microbes to Win the Game”, participants eliminate microbes, showcasing the Sintex tank's role in safe water storage. “Donate Water to Win in the Long Innings of Life” motivates fans to pledge towards the conservation of water while also supporting donations of tanks to communities in need.
