Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Shoot Paused After 100+ Crew Members Fall Ill
Shooting of the much-anticipated film, Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh halted abruptly on August 17, 2025, as over 100 members who were filming were taken to the hospitals with suspected food poisoning.
The accident occurred during filming in the Patthar Sahib locality of Leh, and dampened the spirits of the excitement around this high-end spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar.
Reports say about 600 crew members ate meals provided on set when many started feeling sick, complaining of severe stomach pain, vomiting, and headaches. Around 120 people were taken to Sajal Narbu Memorial (SNM) Hospital in Leh for treatment.
Dr. Rinchen Chosdon, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, shared, “Everyone is stable now, and most have been sent home after care. Only four are still in the hospital for monitoring.” Authorities are testing food samples to figure out what caused the illness, but results aren’t back yet.
