Rajasthan Royals (RR) delivered a breathtaking performance, defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by eight wickets in Match 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Chasing a hefty 209/4, RR cruised to 212/2 in just 15.5 overs, snapping their four-game losing streak, thanks to a stunning century by 14-year-old star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Suryavanshi, the youngest ever to score a T20 hundred at just 14 years and 32 days, put on a show with a mind-blowing 101 off 35 balls, smashing 11 sixes and seven fours. His super-quick century, the fastest by an Indian in IPL history and second-fastest ever, stole the spotlight, even from Yashasvi Jaiswal’s awesome unbeaten 70 off 40 balls. The two young stars kicked things off with a wild 87 runs in the powerplay, and Suryavanshi’s 17-ball fifty was the fastest this season.

GT, who batted first after RR won the toss, put up a strong 209/4, thanks to Shubman Gill’s smooth 84 off 50 and Jos Buttler’s quickfire 50 not out off 26. Sai Sudharsan added 39, but RR’s bowlers controlled things with Maheesh Theekshana grabbing 2/35. GT’s bowlers, though, had no answer for Suryavanshi’s fireworks. A dropped catch of Jaiswal by Buttler early on hurt, and aside from Rashid Khan, their attack got hammered.

Suryavanshi, grinning ear to ear as Player of the Match, said he swung hard and trusted his instincts, thanking Jaiswal for the pep talks. Stand-in captain Riyan Parag, who sealed the win with a six, called the kid a superstar in the making. GT’s skipper Gill, nursing a sore back, admitted RR’s openers ran away with the game early. This win, the fastest 200+ chase in IPL history, has RR fans buzzing.
