RailTel Bags Rs 63.15 Cr Prasar Bharati Order for WAVES OTT Platform

Prasar Bharati has awarded Rs 63.15 crore order to RailTel for adding more features and services to the existing WAVES OTT platform. The Letter of Intent (LoI) was issued by the Director General (Doordarshan) with the home services contract to be completed by February 11, 2029.

RailTel Receives Rs 63.15 Crore WAVES OTT Order

RailTel informed the regulatory exchanges that the estimated value of the order is Rs 63.15 crore, including taxes. Under the contract, the company will provide additional features and services to Prasar Bharati’s existing WAVES OTT platform.

The order is classified as a domestic service contract and is expected to be executed over the coming years, with the completion deadline set for February 11, 2029.

RailTel Order Book and Q1FY27 Performance

RailTel’s order inflow increased significantly during the first quarter of FY27. The company received orders worth Rs 1,688 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

As of July 31, RailTel’s order book stood at Rs 11,747 crore. According to the company’s Chairman and Managing Director Sanjai Kumar, the railway segment contributed around 23.5% of the total order book.

On the financial front, RailTel reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 66 crore for Q1FY27.
