OnePlus 15 Launches Next Week: 15 Key Things to Know

By Media Infotainment Team | Friday, 24 October 2025

OnePlus is all set to launch its next big flagship, the OnePlus 15, in China on October 27—just a few days away. Skipping the number 14 due to cultural beliefs in China (where 4 is considered unlucky), the company is jumping straight to 15. The phone will hit global markets, including India, likely in November.

Powering the OnePlus 15 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, one of the fastest mobile processors available. This means smooth performance for gaming, multitasking, and heavy apps. The phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate—a first for OnePlus—making scrolling and animations incredibly fluid.

Design-wise, the OnePlus 15 has a sleek, square-style camera module similar to the OnePlus 13s. It comes in a new Sandstorm color inspired by desert dunes, with a strong aerospace-grade metal frame and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Camera fans will notice a big change: OnePlus has dropped its Hasselblad partnership, last seen on the OnePlus 8 series. Instead, it’s using its own DetailMax camera system (called Lumo in China). The triple 50MP rear cameras include a main lens, ultra-wide, and telephoto, and can record 4K video at 120fps for smooth, high-quality footage.

The phone packs a huge 7,300mAh battery, optimized for efficiency, along with an advanced cooling system that includes a larger vapor chamber and special insulation to prevent overheating during long use.

While exact pricing isn’t out yet, expect it to start around ₹72,999 in India, similar to the OnePlus 13. With top-tier specs and smart design, the OnePlus 15 aims to be a strong contender in the premium smartphone race. More details will follow after the launch.
