New York Knicks Leads in Game 5 of the NBA Series

NBA Series, game 5 has resulted in a huge win of 111 for the New York Knicks against 94 points of the Indiana Pacers. This match was held in Madison Square Garden in New York. This win for the Knicks has given the team another opportunity to play in the Eastern Conference Finals. The teams scoreboard stands at 3-1 for the Pacers and Knicks.

Jalen Brunson led the team with his 32-pointers on a 12-of-18 shooting with a 66.7 percent shooting rate. Brunson was able to contribute to the team at large by knocking down four threes and achieving 4-for-4 at the line.  

Center Karl-Anthony Towns also added 13 rebounds with 24 points to the team. Knick's defense strategy should be appreciated, this effort from the team, made the game end with a closer points difference.

The Indiana Pacers had a hard time in game 5 to find their rhythm. With 40.5 percent from the field to 33.3 percent from three, the shooting range of the team just dropped evidently. Aaron Nesmith’s 3 points on 1-of-8 shooting, added to a -20 plus-minutes, dragged the team behind. Tyrese Haliburton’s shortage of scores made the team leap backward in the game. Adding to this, Pascal Siakam’s 39.5 percent shooting from the floor made the team gain just 15 points. Benedict Mathurin playing at 24:42 off the bench added 23 points to the team scoreboard. He contributed 60 percent of his shots by nailing all nine free throws.

Game 6 of the NBA series will be held between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks on Sunday, in Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
