Netflix Cancels another Beloved Series, fans threaten Boycott

Netflix has canceled yet another fan-favorite show and fans are once again intimidating to boycott the streamer.

The streamer has canceled Rob Lowe’s workplace comedy Unstable after just two seasons leading many to thread on social media.

In this series, 60-year old Lowe stars by the side of his 28-year-old son John Owen Lowe.

The series takes place in a biological research company where a son with social problems is forced to work for the company of his father, an extremely unconventional and exotic man to save him from disaster.

Back in August season 2 of the series picked up after the duo’s characters successfully fought off an antagonistic takeover of a biotech company last season.

This time, however, Rob’s character, Ellis Dragon, will have to battle for control of the company from his own son, Jackson.

This show opened on the streamer on August 1st and co-stars Sian Clifford, Rachel Marsh, Emma Ferreira and Aaron Branch.

Fred Armisen is set to reprise his role as Leslie, Ellis’ therapist, while Lamorne Morris and Iris Apatow join the cast as a biotech founder and a new intern, respectively.

The cancellation brought forth many complaints on social media including some who even threatened to cancel their Netflix subscription.

One X (formally Twitter) user wrote: 'I think we all need to boycott netflix for a year tbh. don’t subscribe, watch, tweet/post about anything they got going on or something. because the continuing of canceling shows and putting actors and entire crews outta work so early is predatory as the minimum.'

Another said: 'That's really disappointing to hear that Unstable got canceled after just two seasons. I enjoyed the father-son dynamic and the laughs. I hope we see Rob Lowe and his son in another show soon.'

This comes amid a string of cancellations which have angered fans including Kaos after just one season - days after fans begged for a second season.

The series, created by Charlie Covell, featured Jeff Goldblum as Zeus from Greek mythology and Stephen Dillane as Prometheus. Despite attracting 14.9 million views for its first season, Netflix opted not to renew 'Kaos' for a second season, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
