Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 Partners with Simple Energy

Simple Energy, one of India and the world!s largest clean-tech startups, becomes the official EV Partner of the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, the first international javelin ranking event in India. The event, which took place on July 5, 2025, at the iconic Sree Kanteerava Stadium of Bengaluru, was a historic milestone in the Indian athletics, as the world-class participants included 12 top javelin throwers, seven international, and five Indian ones.

The collaboration between the Neeraj Chopra Classic and Simple Energy reflects mutual values of performance and precision and innovation. Simple Energy with its innovative electric cars fits well into the mission of the event to break boundaries and encourage the best.

Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic and World Champion who spearheaded the event, expressed pride in its realization. “It’s a proud moment to see the Neeraj Chopra Classic come to life in Bengaluru,” Chopra said. “This event is a symbol of India’s growing presence in global athletics and a platform to inspire the next generation.” Chopra clinched the gold with an impressive 86.18m throw, followed by Kenya’s Julius Yego with 84.51m and Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage in third.

Chopra, in co-organisation with JSW Sports, Athletics Federation of India (AFI), and World Athletics, the tournament held approx. 15,000 spectators and included a performance of Haryanvi rapper Dhanda Nyoliwala prior to the event. There was also the module of honoring the coach of Neeraj Chopra, world record holder of javelin; Jan Zelezny.

The partnership with Simple Energy reflects the event commitment of being more sustainable and specializing in innovation, ensuring it will remain a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold-Level meet. And with brands such as BPCL, Radisson Hotel Group, and Easybites, it has partnered, the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 has given a substantive influx of investors to the Indian athletic field at the international level.
