Meta Launches Vibes: A Feed of Fun, AI-Made Short Videos

By Media Infotainment Team | Friday, 26 September 2025

Meta just dropped something exciting: Vibes, a new feature packed with short, AI-generated videos that’s now live on the Meta AI app and meta.ai. Think of it like Instagram Reels, but with a cool twist – these videos are created by artificial intelligence, bringing a whole new level of creativity to your feed.

Vibes is all about fun, quirky content. You might scroll past a fluffy cat kneading dough like a pro baker, an ancient Egyptian taking a modern-day selfie, or a dog zooming around a sunny farm. The more you watch, like, or share, the better Vibes gets at showing you stuff you’ll love. It learns what you’re into and keeps the feed fresh and tailored just for you.

What makes Vibes stand out is how interactive it is. You can create your own AI videos with a few words, tweak someone else’s video, or share your creations with friends across Meta’s platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg even showed off a sneak peek of Vibes in a fun Instagram video, hinting at how it might connect across Meta’s apps.

To make this happen, Meta teamed up with AI experts Midjourney and Black Forest Labs for the launch, while working on its own AI tech behind the scenes. “We’re starting with partners like Midjourney and Black Forest Labs, but we’re building our own AI models too,” said Alexandr Wang, Meta’s AI chief, in a Threads post. This mix of outside help and in-house innovation shows Meta’s big bet on AI-driven creativity.

The launch comes at an interesting time. YouTube recently said it’ll stop paying for “low-quality” AI videos starting July 15, 2025, to cut down on spam. Meta, though, is leaning hard into AI, making it easier for anyone to create cool videos, even without fancy skills. Some worry this could flood feeds with fake content, but others see it as a way for everyone to get creative.

With Vibes, Meta’s betting on AI to shake up how we make and enjoy short videos. Early users are already hooked, and it’s easy to see why – Vibes could spark the next big social media trend.
