Marvel Comics Drops Epic Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man #1 This Summer

By Media Infotainment Team | Friday, 09 May 2025

Marvel Comics is set to launch a spectacular one-shot, Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man #1, on June 11, 2025, celebrating the web-slinger with a star-studded creative team and universe-spanning stories. This special issue promises to captivate both longtime fans and new readers with its blend of humor, heart, and groundbreaking introductions.

This issue packs three totally different stories from some of comics’ biggest stars. First, Kevin Smith is back at Marvel after 20 years, teaming up with artist Giuseppe Camuncoli for a laugh-out-loud Spider-Man and Fantastic Four adventure that’s as fun as it is action-packed. Then, Al Ewing and Mark Buckingham take us on a heartfelt ride through the years, showing Spider-Man teaming up with his best buddies. Chip Zdarsky and artist Cafu are introducing a brand-new character that Nick Lowe, Marvel’s Spider-Editor, says is “the coolest new Marvel character in ages.”

The main cover by Greg Capullo is straight-up epic, with Spider-Man swinging in alongside the Fantastic Four, Storm, and Ms. Marvel, cracking a joke like, “Hey! Whose book is this?!”  It’s the perfect vibe for this wild, fun issue. Plus, there’ll be cool variant covers, like one by Sean Galloway.

Marvel’s Giant-Size comics are legendary, going back to the ‘70s when they gave us stuff like the new X-Men and Spider-Man versus Dracula. This 2025 issue is keeping that big, bold spirit alive with what Marvel’s calling a “mega dose of Spidey greatness.” You can grab it at your local comic shop or check it out on the Marvel Unlimited app.

Spider-Man’s been stealing hearts since Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created him in 1962. Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man #1 shows why he’s still the best, with fresh stories and a new character that’ll keep us talking for years.
