Jio Launches Rs 195 Plan with Hotstar Access for Champions Trophy

Reliance Jio has launched a new Rs 195 prepaid plan aimed at cricket fans and entertainment seekers. The plan includes a free JioHotstar subscription, allowing the users to watch the ICC Men's Champions Trophy and a rich library of movies, TV shows, anime, documentaries, and live sports coverage on the recently merged JioHotstar platform.

Jio’s latest prepaid plan is centered on data benefits and includes:

• 90-day validity
• 15GB of high-speed data (after which speeds drop to 64kbps)
• Complimentary ad-supported JioHotstar subscription for 90 days

Unlike regular Jio recharge packs, this is an add-on plan, meaning users must have an active base plan for it to be effective.

JioHotstar, formed from the merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, provides streaming services across mobile, web, and compatible smart devices. While users can opt for monthly or annual subscriptions, the Rs 195 recharge plan offers free access for 90 days.

For reference, JioHotstar’s standard ad-supported subscription is priced at Rs 149 per month, allowing streaming on one mobile device at 720p resolution. On the other hand, the JioHotstar Premium plan costs Rs 299 per month or Rs 1,499 annually, providing an ad-free experience with access to premium content.
