Jake Paul Desires to Join WWE Teaming Up with Logan Paul
Despite facing huge criticism for defeating Mike Tyson, Jake Paul has recently revealed his interest in joining WWE to support his brother. However, the YouTuber turned boxer clarified that he would like to take on a manager role, similar to that of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, rather than participating in in-ring competitions. It seems that Jake Paul is not keen on stepping into the locker room or fighting in the ring himself.
Jake has expressed admiration for Paul Heyman’s legendary career, and he is eager to take on a similar role, managing his brother and former United States Champion, Logan Paul. In an appearance on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast, Jake confirmed his willingness to join WWE, but only as his manager.
In a recent podcast Jake stated, “I would want to be your like Paul Heyman. I wouldn't want to like wrestle as much like I could do some shit, but I would want to be like your sidekick business man.”
The Paul brothers have become two of the most sensational YouTubers, with their careers in both boxing and wrestling launching them into the limelight. Recently, Jake Paul made headlines by defeating boxing legend Mike Tyson in a highly viewed match, which was streamed on Netflix and reportedly 108 million viewers worldwide. However, the fight sparked controversy, as Tyson, despite his glorious boxing career is 58 while Jake is just 27.
In the lead-up to the fight, Tyson encountered several medical challenges, fueling speculation that the event was more about securing a payday than offering a competitive showdown. When asked if he had held back during the match, Jake Paul admitted, "Yeah, definitely," explaining that he "wanted to give the fans a show."
Further, Paul added, “Yeah, a little bit. There was a point where I was like ‘OK, he’s not really engaging back.’ And so I don’t know if he is tired or hurt or whatever, and I could just tell that his age was showing a little bit and I just have so much respect for him and that violence, war thing between us … kind of went away as the rounds went on.”
As per the reports, Paul got Rs 4 crore just for entering into the ring, while Tyson returned with a Rs 2 crore payday.
