iPhone 18 Pro Leaks Point to Redesign, Camera Gains and A20 Chip

By Media Infotainment Team | Thursday, 18 December 2025

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, expected to launch in September 2026, is already drawing attention as leaks suggest notable changes to its design, camera system and internal hardware. Industry reports indicate that Apple is continuing its strategy of steady but meaningful upgrades rather than a radical overhaul.

One of the most discussed changes is the front display. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, with Apple possibly shifting more Face ID components under the display. While a fully bezel-free screen is unlikely at this stage, the move would offer a cleaner look and more usable screen space, addressing long-standing user feedback.

On the rear, Apple is said to be refining the camera module. Leaks point to variable-aperture camera technology, which would allow the lens to adjust based on lighting conditions. This could significantly improve low-light photography and depth control, particularly for portraits and night shots. The company is also expected to fine-tune the camera housing and introduce new colour options to refresh the overall design.

  • Apple’s 2026 flagship tipped to feature smaller Dynamic Island and AI gains
  • iPhone 18 Pro to focus on display refinement, photography, and performance

Performance upgrades are set to be a key focus. The iPhone 18 Pro is widely tipped to run on the A20 Pro chipset, built using a 2-nanometre manufacturing process. This should deliver better performance efficiency, faster processing speeds and improved support for on-device AI tasks. Battery optimisation is also expected to improve as a result of the new chip architecture.

Connectivity upgrades may include Apple’s next-generation in-house modem, potentially enabling better 5G performance and improved power management. Some reports also suggest expanded satellite communication features, building on capabilities introduced in recent iPhone models.

While Apple has not confirmed any details, the iPhone 18 Pro is shaping up as a refinement-driven upgrade, focused on display usability, camera flexibility and long-term performance gains. More clarity is expected as the launch timeline approaches and supply-chain information becomes more concrete.
