Last Rites with State Honors

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde declared that Ratan Tata's last rites would be directed with full state honors to pay the tribute. The public will have the opportunity to pay their respects at National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai from 10 a.m to 4 p.m on Thursday, after which his mortal remains will be taken to Worli Crematorium for the final rites.

Condolences from National Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences, describing Ratan Tata as a visionary business leader and a kind-hearted individual who made an everlasting impact on India. "Ratan Tata’s contributions to industry and society will continue to inspire future generations," he said. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel shared his thoughts on social media, stating, "Deeply saddened by the passing away of Shri Ratan Tata Ji, a leader whose dedication and business acumen shaped modern India’s industry."

Maharashtra Government Declares a Day of Mourning

The Maharashtra government has declared a day of mourning to honor Ratan Tata. There will be no entertainment events that could happen in the whole state, and the entire state will pay tribute to the influential figure who importantly contributed to the growth of Indian industry.

Ratan Tata’s trusted young assistant, Shantanu Naidu, shared a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “The hole that this friendship has now left with me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to fill. Grief is the price to pay for love. Goodbye, my dear lighthouse.” Ratan Tata's story is one of inspiration and commitment. His biography, released in 2017, offers an in-depth exploration of his early life, career, and the ways in which he elevated the Tata Group. By expanding the business and sharing valuable lessons through his experiences, his journey serves as a guiding light for aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders. Ratan Tata’s mortal remains will be on display at the NCPA Lawns, Nariman Point, Mumbai, starting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, allowing the public to pay their final respects. At 4:00 p.m., his last journey will move to the Prayer Hall at the Worli Crematorium, where the final rites will take place. Ratan Tata’s legacy will continue to inspire, and his contributions to India’s industry and philanthropy will be forever remembered in the nation’s history.
