Google has introduced a new functionality to its Gemini AI platform that introduces users to a new level of the dynamic eight-second video with a soundtrack to simply animated still images through the latest Veo 3 model.

This photo-to-video tool, which was introduced in India last week, will now be available to the users of Gemini AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in more than 150 countries, setting an important step on the way to spreading of AI-powered creativity to a wider range of people.

The latest addition, which has been named "Quick and Creative," enables a user to give an image through Gemini app or on the site (gemini.google.com), clicking on the alternative called Videos, and entering text-descriptive information about the intended movement and sound execution, like background music or dialogues.

Veo 3 can create a 720p resolution MP4 video in only one to two minutes turning real life objects, nature scenes, or sketches into interesting clips.

This feature, exclusive to the standalone filmmaking app, Flow by Google until now, has been used to create more than 40 million videos worldwide, since the release of Veo 3 in May 2025.

Offering the tool to paid subscribers, its developers aim to bring some creativity to creators, educators, and casual users, assuming no highly professional editing skills will be required. By adding safety features to regulate generation of explicit materials or excessive violence, or misinformation through watermarks and moderation, Google underlines the meaning of responsible innovation. But access is limited to a few number of attempts in a day to the subscribers thereby keeping a check on the use.

The rollout, which started on July 10, 2025, is currently being extended to mobile devices including Android and iPhones, all through the week. The CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, pointed out the possibility of the feature to restructure storytelling and content creation, making Gemini an even more versatile tool of creation. With AI technology being improved day by day, this is yet another update that highlights the importance of innovation coupled with accessibility given to the users to provide them with an easy method to get their still images moving in a matter of seconds.
