On November 21, Fox Entertainment and Hulu announced a multi-year content deal, with Hulu, controlled by Walt Disney, retaining streaming rights for Fox's extensive programming slate.

According to credentials, the agreement also includes an expanded platform marketing arrangement, reportedly worth over USD 1.5 billion over four years.

The new agreement builds on a partnership between the two firms’ that has lasted over two years, a period marked by a surge in consumer interest in streaming platforms, which led traditional television companies to seek partners to host their shows and movies.

Further, in the new agreement, Fox's prime time entertainment programming including "The Masked Singer," "The Simpsons," and "Family Guy" will continue to stream on Hulu the day after telecast.

Hulu general manager, Lauren Tempest stated, "Our collective marketing efforts, which will continue with this new deal, have generated impressive results and helped viewers successfully find the shows they want to watch, when they want to watch them."

Disney's price hikes and crackdown on password sharing helped the House of Mickey report its second consecutive quarterly profit for its streaming business.

Fox is also experiencing strong growth with its ad-based streaming platform, Tubi, which the company expects to cross USD 1 billion in revenue this fiscal year.

The deal also includes the renewal of an agreement allowing Hulu to stream out of season episodes of several Fox unscripted programs.
