Endrick Possesses the Gift Every Striker Dreams Of, Says Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his admiration for Endrick, stating that the Brazilian possesses the "gift" that every striker dreams of after his spectacular goal against Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, September 17. Endrick netted the final goal in a 3-1 victory for Los Blancos over the German team at the Santiago Bernabeu, marking a challenging match for Ancelotti's side.
Endrick's goal was a standout moment of the night as he made a swift run from near the Madrid box to the other end, unleashing a powerful shot in the final minute of the match. Speaking to reporters, Ancelotti remarked, as quoted by Reuters, that the young talent can accomplish things that few can even imagine. The Italian coach also commended Endrick's bravery for scoring such a crucial goal in the dying moments of the game.
"He is able to do things that no-one can think of."
"He has the gift that strikers dreams of, the gift of being very effective, decisive," Ancelotti said. "You can see that he has something special, something I have never seen. And he has such a strong and very fast shooting."
"Endrick had courage because it was the last ball of the game. The best solution was to take advantage of the three against one, with Vinicius and Rodrygo open in the wings, but he did it very well, even though it was perhaps the most complicated solution."
Ancelotti expressed satisfaction with his team's initial performance in their Champions League title defense, even though they faced a tough start with Stuttgart dominating the early moments. The German side generated several chances, but Real Madrid's goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, made a series of impressive saves to deny them. Ancelotti also mentioned that Real Madrid is still working to find their optimal form.
"If anyone thinks that winning games is easy, they are wrong. I have coached more than 200 games in the Champions League and I can't remember a game without suffering," Ancelotti said.
"Nobody knows better than Real Madrid what it's like to win a Champions League with suffering. We are still trying to find our best version. It's a work in progress."
Real Madrid will next be in action against Espanyol in the LaLiga on September 21, Saturday.
