Fans of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba are buzzing with excitement as the upcoming movie, Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza’s Return, has smashed presale ticket records in the U.S. According to Deadline.

The film raked in over $10 million (about Rs. 87.11 crore) in advance ticket sales in just 24 hours, making it the biggest first-day presale for an anime movie ever.

It even beat out the previous record-holders, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (2021) and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (2022), and outdid Disney’s Frozen II, a massive hit in animated films. Hitting theaters worldwide on September 12, 2025, with special IMAX screenings for Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan members on September 9, the movie’s already a global sensation.

It’s earned $193 million internationally, with Japan accounting for 75% of that. In Southeast Asia, it pulled in $17.5 million across eight markets during its opening weekend, making it the region’s biggest animated film debut ever, topping Frozen II, Moana 2, and Inside Out 2.

Fans on X are hyped, predicting the movie could break more records in the U.S. With its North American and Indian releases around the corner, experts think Infinity Castle might match or even surpass Mugen Train’s $506 million global box office, solidifying Demon Slayer’s place as a powerhouse in anime films.
