Deepika Padukone Makes History with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Deepika Padukone has been recognized as the first Indian actress to be appointed the star at Hollywood Walk of Fame and joining the 2026 Class of Motion Pictures. The official announcement, done live via livestreaming by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on July 3, 2025 positioned the Bollywood icon Padukone beside such global icons as Emily Blunt, Timoth ee Chalamet, and Demi Moore. This esteemed award acknowledges her immense efforts in the field of entertainment as well as in raising the Indian talents to the globe.

Padukone marked her Hollywood debut in 2017, acting alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage. She also has an international career outside acting, through endorsements of high-end products such as Louis Vuitton and Cartier, and also being featured in the 2018 TIME 100 Most Influential People. She was also the one who revealed the FIFA World Cup trophy in 2022, strengthening her global influence even more.

The Hollywood walk of fame, developed in 1960s is an award on excellence in various aspects of entertainment and has more than 2,700 stars in Hollywood Boulevard. Padukone, chosen among hundreds of nominations and approved by the board of the Chamber on June 25, 2025, is a historical moment in Indian representation. According to Peter Roth, chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, they are delighted to celebrate these talented personalities.

Social media fans have celebrated such milestone, with posts citing Padukone as a symbol of the increasing global influence of Indian cinema.
