Business Insider Appoints Jamie Heller of WSJ as Editor-in-Chief
Digital news site Business Insider reported on Monday that Jamie Heller has been appointed as its new editor-in-chief, inheriting Nicholas Carlson, who had resigned earlier this year. Heller, who has spent over 20 years at the Wall Street Journal, before that supervised global business and technology coverage, including AI and the influence of major tech companies.
"I have also long been a fan of Business Insider. I subscribed several years ago because I had to – it is that good. Now, I am beyond excited to lead this tremendous publication to new heights," Heller said in a statement.
In May, Carlson stated his aim to leave and explained that he would continue with the company as editor-at-large until a new editor-in-chief was appointed. Business Insider, founded in 2007 by the German media group Axel Springer, originally launched as "Silicon Alley Insider," aiming on startups and technology. Over time, it widened its coverage to include finance, markets, and a range of other industries.
