Asian Paints launches Damp Proof campaign with Ranbir Kapoor
Asian Paints has introduced a new campaign for its waterproofing product, Damp Proof, featuring actor Ranbir Kapoor. The campaign focuses on a common concern for Indian homeowners—protecting terraces from water leakage and excessive heat, especially during monsoons and peak summer.
Created by Ogilvy India, the campaign film also features actor Saurabh Shukla and uses a light, relatable storyline to highlight everyday household issues. Through simple humour and familiar situations, it draws attention to problems like seepage, cracks, and rising indoor temperatures caused by exposed rooftops.

The central message of the campaign—“Aisi Waisi Waterproofing Nahi, Asian Paints Damp Proof hi lagao”—positions the product as a dependable and high-quality solution. The brand aims to reinforce trust while encouraging homeowners to choose a long-term fix rather than temporary measures.
Asian Paints states that Damp Proof not only prevents water leakage but also includes heat-reflective properties. This helps reduce terrace surface temperatures, making homes more comfortable during hot weather. The dual benefit of waterproofing solution and cooling is a key highlight of the product.
Speaking about the campaign, Amit Syngle, Managing Director and CEO of Asian Paints, pointed out that Indian homes face extreme weather conditions throughout the year. He noted that terraces are especially vulnerable, and products like Damp Proof are designed to offer lasting protection against both water damage and heat.
From a creative perspective, Ogilvy India aimed to keep the message clear and engaging. By combining entertainment with practical information, the campaign seeks to connect with a wide audience while explaining the product’s benefits in an easy-to-understand way.
The campaign will be promoted across television, digital platforms, OTT, and social media, along with visibility during major cricket events to reach a larger audience.
