ASCI Academy Introduces Hindi Versions of Responsible Advertising Courses
Advertising Standards Council of India Academy has launched Hindi versions of its two flagship e-learning courses, The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising and The Responsible Influencing Playbook. ASCI Academy is the training and thought leadership arm of the ASCI.
Initially started courses in English in April 2024, the objective of the courses is to reel in advertisers, marketers, influencers, and professionals who can build reliable brands that are compliant with advertisement regulations. With a huge number of advertisements and influencer content created in Hindi or directly targeting Hindi-speaking consumers, such an initiative can make it open to industry-relevant training catered to a wider demographic so that the future generation can campaign and endorse in tune with the requirements of standard fit for the public.
Manisha Kapoor, CEO and secretary general of ASCI, stated, “The growing scrutiny on advertisements and endorsements reflects the need to safeguard consumer interest. Many violations, even though unintentional, arise from a lack of awareness, which is why these courses become important. They equip participants to stay compliant, connect with their audiences, and build trustworthy brands. The Hindi courses are a positive step toward training for professionals and influencers who prefer to learn in Hindi.”
As regulatory expectations grow more stringent, these courses offer practical tools to help navigate these evolving requirements. The ASCI Guide to Responsible Advertising is designed to help advertisers, agencies, and marketers develop campaigns that comply with ASCI's self-regulatory framework, thus preventing misleading claims, adherence to codes of advertising, and a balance between creativity and responsibility. The course delivers real-life examples and practical takeaways to participants to further strengthen their skill in avoiding mistakes and protecting brand reputation.
The Responsible Influencing Playbook is designed for influencers and professionals navigating the influencer marketing landscape. This course offers a thorough understanding of disclosure requirements, authentic endorsements, and compliance with legal and platform-specific guidelines. Delivered in concise, interactive modules, the content is engaging, easy to follow, and designed for quick learning. Participants who complete the course successfully earn a certification, boosting their professional credentials and showcasing their dedication to responsible influencing practices.
The ASCI Academy has been established with a total of more than 80 alliance partners of businesses, industry bodies, and academic institutions that come together to promote responsible and progressive advertising. The English versions of these courses were liked by organisations such as HUL, Mondelez, Himalaya Wellness, Whistling Woods International, Xavier Institute of Communications, SVKM's Usha Pravin Gandhi College, and Publicis Group. The Hindi version of these courses is anticipated to enlarge this reach, building a culture of responsibility and trust among stakeholders.
