Anish Agarwal has been named vice president of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Center of Excellence at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), a media and entertainment firm. He will be in charge of the company's AI strategy formulation and implementation, ensuring that it is smoothly incorporated into its goods and services.

The director of AI orchestration, automation, and data science, the director of AI and automation experience design, and the director of AI solution design and architecture are among the important directorial positions that Agarwal's LinkedIn update states are directly under his supervision.

"I am excited to use my vast knowledge of automation and artificial intelligence in this new position to make a significant contribution to Warner Bros. Discovery. I am thrilled about the opportunity to work with a highly skilled group of people, take on problems that define the industry, and support the organization's ongoing development and success," Agarwal wrote in a post.

Agarwal has previously worked for Clifford Chance, Vertex Data Science, Natwest Group, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, among other companies. He claimed to have learned invaluable leadership and innovation insights in his previous position as worldwide head of data and analytics at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.

Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Discovery opened its innovation center in Hyderabad. "Although the foundation for the Hyderabad capabilities center was established last year, it formally opened this year with 75 people. The Hyderabad team currently provides significant assistance for many of our internal business activities, including IT help desks and communication tools," Chief Technology Officer Avi Saxena previously stated.

Three cities in India are home to technology and innovation teams: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune. One of the main drivers of expansion in India, according to Saxena, has been the acquisition of talent. By the end of the year, Saxena added, he anticipates that the Indian IT team will number 1,000.
