As the Olympic Games come to an end, attention is being drawn not only to the athletes vying for medals but also to how technology has revolutionized modern sports and training techniques. The way athletes train for competition has changed dramatically in recent years because of advancements like virtual reality, wearable technology, and performance analytics. This has improved training plans and maximized performance.

The way that sports and technology interact is drastically changing the world. Technology has become a vital component of an athlete's equipment, from sophisticated sensors that monitor physiological data to intelligent gear that offers real-time feedback.

"The macrostructure of the current sports performance analysis ecosystem is perfectly suited to the technology. Sudeep Kulkarni, founder and CEO of Game Theory, stated, "It empowers young athletes and coaches by democratizing access to pro-level analysis and tools, which helps nurture grassroots talent and instill a sense of competitiveness by providing insights that were traditionally only available to top-tier athletes."

In a poll conducted by the Capgemini Research Institute, about 70% of participants (10,000 in all) stated that new technologies have improved their entire stadium viewing experience.

Without a doubt, emerging technologies will play a major role in sports in the future, and tech entrepreneurs are leading this exciting development. The way players prepare for competition and interact with spectators is changing as a result of entrepreneurs bringing technology into sports.

In the sports sector, these entrepreneurs are fostering innovation and establishing new benchmarks.

Sports tech companies are becoming more and more of a target market for venture capital, according to Mustafa Ghouse, founder and general partner of Centre Court Capital, a gaming and sports tech venture capital firm, because of the industry's enormous potential for innovation and expansion.

"In India, interest in sports technology is growing, especially in specialized fields. India has received USD 1.2 billion in sports technology investments during the past three years. China and India are the next two countries that have received the most funding for sports technology between 2018 and 2022, according to him.

According to Ghouse, Indian sports tech businesses are beginning to draw interest from both domestic and international investors.

"The demand for advanced tech requirements is being driven by the expanding distribution of media rights and the rise in digital consumption of sports material. This creates an ideal environment for sports tech businesses to grow and attract significant investment, he added, along with the widespread use of smart gadgets and internet access.
