Zee Entertainment Reinstates Punit Goenka as MD and CEO for a Five-Year Term

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has approved the reappointment of Punit Goenka as the MD and CEO for a term of five years from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029. The shareholders of the company need to approve his appointment.

After its formation, Goenka successfully undertook the leadership of a conglomerate company engaged in multifarious successful businesses involving broadcasting, digital, movies, and music.

Among his several privileges, the experience over 25 years as a leader in the field-identifying companies in order to efficiently expand to more than 190 countries and gain a reach to an overwhelming viewership of more than 1.3 billion people.

Goenka is also actively involved in shaping the future of the entertainment industry in various capacities. Currently, he serves as a Board Director for the Indian Broadcasting & Digital Foundation (IBDF).

He has previously served in several governance roles, including--but not limited to Chairman of BARC India, where he was integral to the founding team's establishment; Chairman of IBDF, for an invaluable engagement with policymakers; President of IAA's Indian Chapter, working towards industry interests and launching multiple initiatives for advertising and marketing stakeholders in the Indian ecosystem.
