Warner Bros Discovery and Times Network have released a new documentary, Unheard Cries at GB Road, focusing on the lives of women in Delhi’s GB Road red-light district.

The film premiered on discovery+ on 17 November 2025 and aims to present direct, first-hand accounts from sex workers and survivors who rarely get public attention.

Produced by Times Now Studios and co-written and produced by Rohit Chadda, the documentary is based on more than 50 interviews conducted inside brothels and surrounding areas.

The women speak openly about exploitation, violence, coercion and the daily routines that shape their existence. Their accounts form the central voice of the film, which avoids dramatization and focuses on factual experiences.

The production team spent months building access and trust within the community to document the environment as it is. Along with testimonies from the women, the documentary features perspectives from Delhi Police officials, social workers and experts who explain how trafficking networks operate, the limits of legal protection and the gaps in rehabilitation efforts.

Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Lifestyle & Kids – South Asia at Warner Bros Discovery, said: “Unheard Cries at GB Road is a story that demands to be seen and heard… By giving these women the space to speak for themselves, the documentary brings rare honesty and emotional depth to a subject too often misunderstood.”

A Times Network spokesperson said the project was approached with responsibility toward accuracy and respect for the women whose stories drive the narrative. The spokesperson emphasised that entering these spaces required patience and transparency to ensure participants felt safe in sharing their experiences.
