Voicemod Unveils New Voice-Changing Technology for Gaming Consoles
Voicemod announced the launch of a new hardware device, Key, a dongle that enables console gamers to use the company's voice-changing technology. It is compatible with voice chats on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as Discord on consoles. The device is now available for purchase along with a Voicemod Pro subscription, with discounted prices for existing subscribers.
The Key connects to a smartphone or tablet through a USB-C or Lightning port, enabling users to control the voice changer and soundboard via their handheld device. Users can then plug their console and headset into the dongle. Content creators, streamers, and gamers can alter their voices for entertainment or privacy reasons.
Voicemod claims that its Key is the first hardware of its kind, giving console gamers access to the same voice-changing technology that PC gamers have enjoyed for years. The Key features a library of AI-generated voice imprints and over 300,000 sounds, allowing users to effortlessly switch between voices at any time.
Jaime Bosch, Voicemod CEO, said in a statement, “In-game voice chats are becoming essential for building real connections in the digital world. Gamers value the convenience of console platforms, and we’re excited to bring our real-time voice transformation technology to all their favorite consoles. Voicemod Key makes online interactions more engaging, memorable, and fun—no matter where they happen.”
